I believe that teachers’ roles in our society are to empower students as thinkers, allowing each student to see that they are capable of learning anything that they choose. This includes helping students to see that their capacity to learn is not dictated by others or society.”
Physical Science, Chemistry and Physics
Why Chemistry and Physics
“I really enjoyed physics and chemistry in high school. Majoring in physical science was the best of both worlds.”
During his time in college, Robert spent a summer running a nuclear science camp for students. He also completed chemistry education research, developed a high school chemistry curriculum, and built a machine learning model to analyze student-written responses. During the 2021–2022 school year, Robert taught middle school robotics and computer science.
Robert will begin his second year of teaching at Holt High School during the 2022–2023 school year.
Robert recently became a new parent and enjoys spending time with his wife and son. They enjoy going on hikes together and visiting new places.
