Making the leap to teacher: Pre-service residents, faculty and school mentors taking on action research together in an urban teacher residency program,

School mentors and university faculty co-facilitated action research with pre-service science teacher residents in an urban teacher residency. Residents explored questions and shared findings, developing as critically reflective practitioners. Action research fostered an inquiry stance with implications for both individuals and schools/districts.
