I see teachers as gardeners who help students to thrive in education by providing them with the necessary support and tools to grow.”

Patricia’s Story

Teaching Discipline

Physics

Why Physics

I have always been a person who enjoys numbers and math, but physics in particular really captured my interest because of the ways in which it took math and applied it to the world around me.

Professional Experience

During her summers, Patricia worked as a teaching assistant through the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. She also worked as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate physics class and taught a two-week online course centered around climate justice through Brown Summer High School.

Patricia will begin her first year of teaching at Paul Cuffee Upper School during the 2022–2023 school year.
